Have you sailing holdiday with luxury yacht La Cardinala in Sumatra and Mentawai of Indonesia

Bali, Lombok, Sumbawa, Komodo, Flores This leisurely voyage along the north coast of the islands just east of Bali is both a relaxing trip for beaches and clear waters lovers as well as an occasion to discover islands relatively untouched by onslaught of mass tourism. Journeys along the Lesser Sunda Islands remain among the most favourite itineraries, and for good reasons. Few areas in Asia can lay claim to such cultural and natural diversity: towering active volcanoes, jungle - clad mountain ranges, quite coastal villages, emerald seas, megalithic cultures, colourful market places, tribal rituals and architecture not to mention a world of kaleidoscopic beauty under water.

BALI
•  Morning transfer to Benoa harbour in Bali for the two-and-a-half hour crossing by fast ferry to Lombok.
•  After boarding our vessel, we’ll have a short sail to nearby Gili Tangkong and Gili Nanguu, two tiny, peaceful islands with white sand beaches and calm waters.
•  Evening sail to Gili Air island for a quiet night at anchor.

GILI LAWANG
•  We’ll spend the morning on Gili Air island: diving, snorkelling or short walk ashore.
•  Late morning we’ll set sail to Gili Lawang, east of Lombok. We’ll just relax, take a drink and enjoy the magnificent coastal scenery as it glides by.
•  Overnight at anchor in Gili Lawang.

SUMBAWA
•  The vessel will depart at dawn to Moyo island, a nature reserve located north of Sumbawa island. A three-tiered waterfall on the island makes for an interesting hike. Good snorkelling or diving close to anchorage.
•  Overnight anchoring along the coast of Sumbawa island, at the foot of the Tambora volcano.

BIRMA BAY
•  After a few hours of navigation in the morning, we’ll make a stop at Kawin-Danae, on the north coast of Sumbawa to visit traditional shipyards where wooden vessels are still being built, following age-old techniques.
•  Onward to Birma town that we should reach late evening.
•  Overnight at anchor in the beautiful Birma bay.

CAPE AMBALAWI
•  In the morning, we’ll visit some traditional Bimanese villages in the mountains behind the town.
•  We’ll board the vessel again and have lunch while the boat sails out of Birma bay towards Cape Ambalawi. Late afternoon swim and snorkel.
•  Night at anchor.

KOMODO
•  Short sail to Sangean island, a towering volcano just out of Birma bay. We’ll have a short hike inland.
•  Midday sail to Banta island for some extraordinary snorkelling or diving amidst fantastic scenery.
•  Late afternoon sail to Komodo islands.

GILI LAWA DARAT
•  Morning sail towards Papangaran island to visit a Bajo “Sea Gypsy” village. Onward to Gili Lawa Darat for a last bit of swimming, snorkelling or diving.

PADAR
•  Early morning trek on Rinca island, the richest in wild life of the Komodo group: monkeys, wild boars, deer, buffaloes and the elusive “Komodo Dragon”.
•  Midday sail to spectacular Padar island: swimming, snorkelling, diving and beach combing in complete wilderness.

SELAYAR
•  This day will be a last and spectacular day of maritime pleasure: snorkelling, beach explorations, maybe diving at Pulau Sabalon or Selayar.
•  Night sail.
